Superior Coarse Material Washer

While they perform a slight amount of scrubbing, Superior’s coarse washers are primarily designed to remove unwanted material from a feed.

For example, they’ll separate out (-4) mesh in gravel from the crushing circuit. That smaller material floats out the back-end while the desired mix is carried up the slope.

A series of paddles cause light scrubbing — usually removing crusher dust from the rock’s surface — but a coarse material washer will not perform any heavy-duty grinding or scrubbing. In most cases, we recommend a rinsing cycle after or as the material is discharged to remove any film that sticks to the rock from the dirty water.
