MIMICO has confirmed that ASV Posi-Track® customers in New Zealand will continue to receive local supply, service, parts and technical support following the formal alignment of Yanmar Compact Equipment and ASV in North America.
Yanmar Group acquired ASV Holdings Inc. in 2019, bringing the ASV compact track loader and skid-steer loader range into the wider Yanmar compact equipment business. In February 2023, Yanmar Compact Equipment North America announced that Yanmar Compact Equipment and ASV had officially joined to become one legal entity, Yanmar Compact Equipment North America.
While this is an important global development for the ASV brand, the message for New Zealand customers is simple: ASV Posi-Track remains fully supported by MIMICO.
What this means for ASV customers in New Zealand
For contractors, farmers, landscapers, forestry operators and other ASV Posi-Track owners across New Zealand, there is no change to local support.
MIMICO remains the New Zealand distributor for ASV Posi-Track loaders and will continue to provide:
- New ASV Posi-Track machine sales
- Genuine ASV parts
- Servicing and maintenance support
- Technical advice
- After-sales support through MIMICO’s national team
Customers can continue to deal with the same local team for machine enquiries, service bookings, parts supply and support.
ASV and Yanmar brands remain distinct
As part of the 2023 announcement, Yanmar confirmed that the Yanmar Compact Equipment and ASV brands will remain distinct, with each brand retaining its own product lines and dealer networks.
This means ASV Posi-Track loaders will continue to be supplied and supported as part of the ASV product range.
“This is an important update for the ASV brand globally, but for New Zealand customers the message is simple: ASV Posi-Track remains fully supported by MIMICO,” says Scott Turner, General Manager of MIMICO. “Customers can continue to deal with the same local team for new machines, genuine parts, servicing and technical support.”
Why ASV Posi-Track loaders suit New Zealand worksites
ASV Posi-Track loaders have built a strong following in New Zealand across construction, landscaping, agriculture, forestry and site preparation.
The machines are known for their dedicated rubber track undercarriage, low ground pressure, traction and stability across soft, uneven and variable ground conditions. This makes them well suited to a wide range of New Zealand worksites, especially where access, ground disturbance and machine stability are important.
