Metso has introduced the latest Lokotrack® LT200HPX™ mobile cone crusher, combining the Nordberg® HP200e™ cone crusher with a choice of integrated pre-screening and product screening configurations for aggregate production.
Presented by Metso at Steinexpo in Germany in September 2026, the latest LT200HPX has been developed around greater process flexibility. Operators can configure the machine with a 2-deck pre-screen, a large 5.6 m² 2-deck product screen, or combine both systems on the same track-mounted plant.
In its combined configuration, Metso reports up to 40% higher capacity compared with the Lokotrack LT200HPS.

Crushing and screening on one mobile plant
The LT200HPX is designed for secondary and tertiary crushing of hard rock and can operate within a two or three-stage crushing process.
It can be paired with other Lokotrack jaw crushers and mobile screens or operated as a standalone plant fed by an excavator or wheel loader.
Applications include road construction aggregates, railway ballast, asphalt aggregates and concrete aggregates, along with general quarry and contracting work.
At the centre of the plant is Metso’s Nordberg® HP200e™ cone crusher.
The HP200e is designed for high-capacity hard rock crushing while maintaining consistent end-product quality. A range of crusher cavities allows the crushing chamber to be selected according to the secondary or tertiary application.
No-backing liners also remove the need for backing material during liner replacement, helping make liner changes quicker and simpler.

Three screening configurations
A major change with the latest LT200HPX is the ability to configure the screening process around the feed material and required products.
PRE-SCREEN
The 2-deck pre-screen removes fine material before it enters the cone crusher.
Material that does not need crushing can bypass the crusher and be directed either to the product pile or further through the process.
Removing these fines reduces unnecessary material passing through the crusher and can increase capacity, reduce wear and provide a more stable crushing process.
PRODUCT SCREEN
The LT200HPX can alternatively be equipped with a large 5.6 m² 2-deck product screen.
Rather than relying on a separate mobile screen, crushed material can be classified directly onboard the LT200HPX. Oversize material can be recirculated back to the crusher where required.
Depending on the circuit and conveyor configuration, the machine can produce one, two or up to three end products.
PRE-SCREEN AND PRODUCT SCREEN COMBINED
For applications requiring both feed preparation and controlled finished products, the two systems can be combined on a single LT200HPX.
Fine material is removed before crushing, while the material leaving the HP200e is screened onboard afterwards.
It is this configuration that Metso says can provide up to 40% higher capacity compared with the LT200HPS.

Direct crusher drive reduces fuel consumption
The LT200HPX uses a direct V-belt crusher drive with a purpose-designed gearbox and hydraulic clutch.
With the product screen configuration, Metso reports fuel consumption up to 30% lower than the LT200HPS.
The direct drive is designed to provide efficient power transmission without compromising the mobility of the plant.
Designed around material flow
Increasing crusher capacity only works if material can move effectively through the rest of the machine.
The LT200HPX therefore uses wide conveyors and a robust chassis to support high throughput throughout the crushing and screening process.
The main conveyor has hydraulic height adjustment, making it easier to integrate the LT200HPX with other mobile equipment in a multi-stage plant.
Depending on the selected configuration, options can also include extended conveyors, side conveyors, dust encapsulation and high-pressure water spraying.
Process control from the operator’s cab
The LT200HPX is compatible with Metso’s digital production and process control systems.
Metso IC™ provides process control functions including one-button start and stop, troubleshooting and adjustment of process parameters.
Remote IC can allow the operator to monitor and control the crushing process from the excavator cab, supported by a camera view of the plant.
Adaptive Feed Control can automatically adjust feeding to make better use of available plant capacity and reduce periods where the conveyor is running without material.
When the LT200HPX is operating as part of a wider Lokotrack crushing train, compatible machines can also be connected for coordinated operation.
Easier access for servicing and transport
Practical service access has also been incorporated into the LT200HPX design.
Service platforms and walkways are provided on both sides of the machine, while the walkways fold away for transport.
The main conveyor can also be lowered towards ground level for maintenance.
These folding and lowering functions allow the track-mounted plant to be prepared for transport between sites while retaining service access when operating.
Where does the LT200HPX fit?
The LT200HPX is particularly relevant where a crushing operation needs more flexibility without automatically adding another standalone screening plant to the circuit.
Depending on the configuration, it can remove fines ahead of the crusher, screen finished material onboard, recirculate oversize material or perform both pre-screening and product screening from the same track-mounted unit.
For New Zealand quarrying and aggregate operations, that provides several ways to configure the plant around feed grading, target products, available site space and the wider crushing circuit.
