D1NZ Round 5 – Baypark Grand Final.

The D1NZ Baypark Grand Final is the final round of New Zealand’s national drifting championship, held at Mercury Baypark Stadium in Mount Maunganui across ANZAC Weekend.

The event brings together Pro and Pro-Sport drivers for the season decider, with two days of on-track action and a full motorsport event setup.

Day 1 – Friday (Afternoon to Evening)

• Pro-Sport practice and qualifying
• Pro practice and qualifying
• Evening session under lights

Day 2 – Saturday (Midday to Evening)

• Pro-Sport Top 32 battles
• Pro Top 32 battles (main competition)
• Finals and podium results

What to Expect

Expect a full day motorsport environment with national championship drifting, including close tandem battles and high-speed runs. The event also features a Hard Park display of performance vehicles, along with food vendors and merchandise areas on-site. A street cruise through Mount Maunganui takes place on the Thursday leading into the event, adding to the overall weekend atmosphere.

Suitable for all ages, the event combines competitive drifting with a relaxed spectator environment, with facilities available on-site.
