Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete – VSI Crusher Integration.

Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete has been supplying ready-mix concrete, aggregates, and civil construction services to the Canterbury region since 1962. With continued growth and evolving production requirements, Christchurch Ready Mix Concrete sought to add a tertiary crushing stage to its existing plant to improve flexibility and product output.

MIMICO accepted the challenge and developed a solution that worked within the existing plant footprint. Using detailed 3D design, MIMICO engineered a full integration of the Barmac B7150SE VSI into the established circuit.

To achieve this, an existing conveyor was shortened and modified to deliver feed material into a purpose-built splitter chute. This allowed the team at Christchurch Ready Mix to either feed material directly into the Barmac VSI or bypass the tertiary stage entirely, depending on production needs.

The VSI discharge conveyor was fully enclosed with dust covers to ensure controlled material return into the screening circuit while supporting safe and efficient site operation.
