MIMICO completed a transit mixer supply and assembly project for Holcim/Ashby’s Concrete in Christchurch, supporting the customer’s concrete transport operations with new truck-mounted mixer units.
The project involved supplying FBU CESCO concrete mixer bowls and completing the full assembly and installation onto customer truck chassis through MIMICO’s Engineering team.
The fleet build included:
• 6 x 7m³ transit mixers
• 3 x Hino 700 3036 truck units
• 3 x UD CG30 360 truck units
MIMICO supplied the FBU CESCO mixer bowls and carried out the assembly, mounting and installation work in-house.
The project required detailed engineering and installation work to ensure correct integration between the mixer systems and truck platforms.
Works completed included:
• Supply of FBU CESCO concrete mixer bowls
• Mixer installation and chassis integration
• Hydraulic system installation
• Engineering fabrication and assembly work
• Final commissioning and operational preparation
At the time of completion, the second unit had been completed, with four additional units progressing through the build programme.
The completed transit mixer fleet provides Holcim/Ashby’s Concrete with purpose-built concrete transport units designed for reliable day-to-day operation and consistent concrete delivery performance.
