Horokiwi Quarries Ltd continues to supply the Wellington region with a wide range of quality aggregates to meet the needs of both commercial and residential customers. As part of ongoing plant maintenance and improvements, the team identified the need to replace an ageing wash screen that was reaching the end of its service life.
MIMICO Engineering was engaged to deliver a complete screen replacement solution, providing design, fabrication, and installation services. Utilising a replaceable Metso MV mechanism, MIMICO designed a 6’ x 16’ wash screen specifically suited to the site’s processing requirements.
To avoid extended disruption to production, the full installation and commissioning were completed over a weekend period. The screen was also fitted with Metso Trellex LS modular screen media, providing excellent wear life and simplified maintenance moving forward.
