Sometimes it can be hard to know which roller best meets your needs. There are so many factors to consider, like the size of the job, the type of surface you’ll be working on, and how much you’re willing to spend.

As Dynapac’s exclusive New Zealand distributor, MIMICO has a wide selection of single-drum and double-drum vibratory rollers available and in stock now. MIMICO understands the importance of choosing the right equipment for your business, which is why they offer expert advice and support every step of the way.

MIMICO’s professional team is always happy to help operators find the best machine for their needs. Dynapac’s single-drum and double-drum vibratory rollers are the perfect choice for a variety of compaction applications.

Single-Drum Vibratory Rollers

Dynapac’s single-drum vibratory rollers offer excellent performance in terms of operating speed, gradeability and traction. The compact design of these rollers makes them easy to manoeuvre and transport, even in tight spaces. These rollers are available in a variety of models to suit any application, from light to medium duty.

Dynapac’s range of small- and medium-size single-drum vibratory rollers are used to compact most types of soil. These rollers are suitable for road construction, airfields, dam construction, harbour projects and industrial constructions. The thickness and grade of the drum’s steel is adapted for compacting rockfill, while vibratory rollers are also known for their excellent performance on other types of fill. A special version with a padfoot drum (PD) is available for compacting cohesive soils.

Heavy single-drum vibratory rollers are designed for the toughest compaction applications. Rockfill can be compacted in two-metre-thick layers, in which the size of the rocks can be up to a metre in diameter. The smooth drum shell thickness gives a long productive lifetime for compaction of rockfill, gravel, and sand.

Double-Drum Vibratory Rollers

Dynapac’s double-drum vibratory rollers provide outstanding compaction performance which makes them ideal for use on a variety of materials, including sand, gravel, and asphalt. Performance, visibility, operator comfort, compaction control, and serviceability for this line will appeal to owners, operators, and service crews.

Dynapac’s double-drum asphalt roller range features everything from the most compact equipment for repair jobs to large machines for the biggest sites. Vibration dampened platforms, swivel seats for better visibility, logically sorted controls, and Roll Over Protective Structures (ROPS) all contribute to the manoeuvrability, operator ergonomics, and safety.

All models have high frequency vibration as standard. They are also quick and easy to service, ensuring maximum uptime. The use of a double pump vibration system eliminates the need for a vibration valve, making the system more efficient, aiding servicing, and reducing fuel consumption.

Dynapac Seismic does it differently

For many years, the soil and roller drum were considered two separate systems. Dynapac’s engineering team recognised that the soil and drum work together as one system. This finding opened the door for the development of the Dynapac Seismic system.

All drum and soil combinations have their own unique natural frequencies. Dynapac Seismic automatically detects the frequency of the soil characteristics, and works with it to apply the correct amount of energy exactly when required.

Conventional vibratory compactors deliver a rapid succession of impacts to the soil surface at a frequency that is either pre-set at a high or low amplitude or at a frequency that is adjusted manually.

Since the drum and the soil act as one dynamic system, several benefits can be found from the system’s natural frequency. At the natural frequency, the drum amplitude is enhanced significantly since energy is automatically fed to the system at exactly the right time. This, in turn, maximises the contact force between the drum and the ground, yielding maximised compaction and energy efficiency.

The best compaction parameters guarantee an optimal output. A machine that can determine soil characteristics and then automatically interact with them, will make a world of difference in compaction results.

Dynapac’s Range

Dynapac is the world’s leading manufacturer of compaction and paving equipment. This range of machinery, available exclusively in New Zealand from MIMICO, provides operators with the power to transform ground-breaking ideas into cost-efficient solutions.
