This need led Winstone Aggregates to purchase a Metso C106 Jaw crusher and Metso TK11-42-2V grizzly feeder from MIMICO to maximise the output of their current plant. To minimise the installation costs MIMICO Engineering designed a new sub-frame to accept the existing feeder mounts and the new mounting requirements for the Metso C106 jaw crusher. This sub-frame was adapted to the existing frame in order to utilise the current subsidiary equipment such a chutes and conveyors.
Horokiwi Quarries engaged MIMICO Engineering to design, manufacture, and install a new 6’ x 16’ wash screen with a replaceable Metso MV mechanism. The full installation was completed over a weekend, minimising production downtime while delivering a modern, efficient screening solution.
Avoca Group partners with MIMICO for mobile crushing and screening solutions, combining their own in-house maintenance capability with responsive support from MIMICO for breakdowns and technical assistance. This partnership allows Avoca to maintain high productivity while staying in control of daily operations.
Cardrona Alpine Resort uses a CASE CX235C SR excavator to support offseason earthworks and infrastructure projects. Work includes trenching for the Soho Stage Two snowmaking installation and reshaping ski trails to create smoother surfaces for winter operations. The machine’s short-radius design allows it to operate efficiently on narrow mountain tracks and tight areas, while still providing enough size and capability for larger earthworks tasks.
Daltons uses CASE wheel loaders across its bark processing and production operation to support material handling, stockpile management and truck loading. Operating long production hours across multiple shifts, the machines play a key role in maintaining product consistency and efficient site operations.
Horokiwi Quarries engaged MIMICO Engineering to design, manufacture, and install a new 50-metre transfer conveyor to replace an ageing system. The installation was completed over a weekend to minimise disruption, with the new conveyor custom-designed to integrate seamlessly into the existing plant layout.
Drury Quarry partnered with MIMICO to install a Metso HP200 cone crusher and screening plant, enabling efficient reprocessing of oversize drainage chip into high-demand, market-ready products, while maximising resource yield and reducing waste.
Isaac Construction partnered with MIMICO Engineering to deliver a major four-stage plant expansion, increasing aggregate production capacity to meet post-earthquake Christchurch development demands. The full static plant upgrade was completed over a 12-month period, providing additional output after each stage.
B&A Digging is a Queenstown-based earthworks contractor with nearly 20 years in operation. Their CASE CX19D compact excavator stands out for power, fuel efficiency and tight-access capability, making it a go-to machine across site pads and driveway work throughout Central Otago.
